Beginners Intensive

Mon - Thurs, 10-4 | 4 DAYS | Beginners

About the Class

This intensive four-day course is a great way to focus on learning how to throw on the potter's wheel. On Monday you work on the basics, practising technique with cylinders. Tuesday is spent mastering the bowl and working on scaling up your work, during the course, there is plenty of time to cover lips, handles and much more. Wednesday is a chance to try different clays and work on your own projects. Thursday is spent trimming down pots and making them your own. Leaving your pots to dry ready for the first firing in the kiln. The glazing class is the following week.

The cost of the class includes all materials and you will be able to choose your best 15 pots included in the cost of the course with the option to purchase more during the course. We offer each student a potter’s wheel, potters apron, the studio stoneware clay, a chance to try some other clays and access to all our glazes.

All classes are for adults only and a maximum of 6 people. Students and teachers are required to wear a mask for the duration of a class.
