This intensive four-day course is a great way to focus on learning how to throw on the potter's wheel. On Monday you work on the basic principles, practising technique with cylinders. Tuesday is spent mastering the bowls before learning how to turn your work on the wheel to finish it. Over the next two days of the course, there is time to cover lips, handles and a personal project. At the end of the four days, you leave your pots to dry ready for the first firing in the kiln. The glazing class is the following week held on a Thursday afternoon.
The cost of the class includes all materials and you will be able to choose your best 12 pots to fire and finish with glaze. We offer each student a potter’s wheel, a potter's apron, the studio stoneware clay blend, and access to all our in-house glazes. You have the option of firing more pots for £10 per extra piece.
The class is for adults only and a maximum of 8 people.
Monday 8th - Thursday 11th April, from 10 am - 4 pm each day. With a follow-up glazing class on Thursday 18th April, 4-7 pm.
A full refund can only be given within 14 days from the initial date of booking. You can reschedule your class provided I am given at least 7 days' notice before your class date. Regrettably, I am unable to change any bookings if LESS than 7 days' notice is given.
