About the Session

These are a way for you to continue practising in the studio on the potters' wheel. Sold in blocks of 5 sessions they include all materials, clay and tools. You are hosted by a potter in training who will be familiar with the studio. The first three weeks are for you to throw, in the fourth week you can trim your pieces down and in the last week they will be bisque-fired and ready for you to glaze. 

We recommend that you have attended at least one beginner's course learning how to throw, trim and glaze before booking a practice session. Please email to enquire if you have any questions as these are not taught sessions but only a chance to practise.

The cost of the session includes all materials and you will be able to choose your best 8 pots to fire. If you would like to fire any additional pieces there is a charge of £5 per additional piece. We offer each student a potter’s wheel, the studio stoneware clay, 11 glazes and plenty of tools.

All sessions are for adults only and a maximum of 8 people. It is not possible to make up any missed sessions so please make sure that you can attend each one before booking.

If you book a Wednesday block your session will be held every Wednesday from 6.30 - 9pm. Friday session are held in the afternoons from 1.30-4 pm.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund can only be given within 14 days from the initial date of booking. You can reschedule your class provided I am given at least 7 days notice before your class date. Regrettably, I am unable to change any bookings if LESS than 7 days notice is given.
