About

Jess Joslin is an experienced potter, creating hand-thrown functional tableware and bespoke commissions with a unique and contemporary edge. Designed in-house and created from quality materials, each piece from Jess’ diverse collections is guaranteed to add a modern touch to any home.

With a strong connection to pottery through her father, fellow potter Tony Joslin, Jess pursued her love of the craft and has studied it throughout her life, from Tony’s studio in the New Forest to Camberwell Art College, where she graduated with a BA in Ceramics, 2009.

Jess has now established her own studio based in Stepney City Farm, where she is currently a craftsperson in residence along with a host of other creatives. From her base she continues to innovate and experiment with wheel-thrown and hand-created pieces that form her new collections.

Teaching

Jess Jos studio specialises in teaching the potters wheel with classes varying in skill levels. From novice to master class, sessions are taken by Jess, Skye Corewijn or her father Tony and each class is designed to give students a chance to begin working with clay or perfect their skill as a thrower in the more intermediate sessions. To learn more about the courses and book your place head to here.
